OLYMPIC BRONZE MEDALIST SIGNS WITH TIEMEYER CYCLES, INC.

Erin Mirabella to Join Other Elite Cyclists on Tiemeyer Bicycle Frames

(Estes Park, CO)— Erin Mirabella, 2004 Athens Olympic bronze medallist in the women's points race, has signed with Colorado based bicycle frame builder David Tiemeyer and Tiemeyer Cycles, Inc. Upon signing Mirabella joined other elite riders including 2004 Athens Olympic time trial fourth place finisher Christine Thorburn and current second overall in the men's World Cup points race standings Colby Pearce. The arrangement will provide Mirabella with top Aero aluminum competition frames to continue her progress as an elite level cyclist.

”I've had my eye on Tiemeyer for several years. Many other National Team riders are on his bikes and speak very highly of him and his work. After my husband and I talked with David, we were sure we were going to get exactly what we were looking for,” said Erin Mirabella, 2004 Athens Olympic points race bronze medalist. “We were really impressed with his knowledge and professionalism.”

The combination of a Tiemeyer built bicycle frame with Olympian Erin Mirabella is nothing new. Mirabella raced Tiemeyer engineered frames under the name of GT leading up to and during the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. With her recent success and affinity for the best in quality Erin decided to reacquaint herself with the famed frame builder. With only one phone call the two reaffirmed their relationship to ensure her focus is on training and not her equipment.

“I am honored that Erin asked me to be her frame builder,” said David Tiemeyer, owner of Tiemeyer Cycles, Inc. “After all these years I am excited to have the opportunity to work with her again.”

Mirabella is also excited about the prospect of working with Tiemeyer Cycles, Inc. She feels riding one of his expertly crafted machines will help her at the 2005 UCI Track Cycling World Championships later this month.

”I'm looking forward to the World Championships in March because for the first time in a long time, I'll have a bike that has all of the features I am looking for in a points race bike,” said Mirabella. “Knowing that I'll be riding a really fast bike gives me that mental edge and makes me even more excited to pull up to the start line at World's.”
